What is Rhodium?
Rhodium, a silvery-white metal in the platinum family, boasts high reflectivity and durability. It's hypoallergenic, harder than gold, making it ideal for jewellery plating, enhancing both durability and shine.
What is Rhodium Plating?
Rhodium plating usually involves electroplating. Jewelers first clean the piece to remove dirt and contaminants. Then, they apply a positive charge and deposit a thin layer of rhodium. This process, taking up to 90 minutes per piece, requires precise control of the electric current to avoid damaging the metal.
